HVAC Design & Installation in Pacific Palisades.

Across Pacific Palisades, families are rebuilding after the January 2025 Palisades Fire, and many are taking the opportunity to plan their homes with great care. Heating, cooling and fresh air are part of that planning. We work with homeowners, architects and builders to design systems that are quiet, concealed and prepared for the realities of living between the mountains and the sea.

Designing From the Beginning

A rebuild allows the climate system to be designed with the architecture instead of fitted in afterward. Each project begins with a room-by-room Manual J load calculation, Manual S equipment selection and Manual D duct design, so equipment is right-sized and ducts are routed through spaces planned for them.

Joining early also means equipment rooms, chases and outdoor equipment locations can be shaped by the plans, with no soffits or compromises added in the field.

Fresh Air and Filtration Ready for Poor Outdoor Air

Many clients ask that their new home be ready for smoke seasons ahead. We design a dedicated fresh-air supply through an energy recovery ventilator, with an intake that can be shut off on smoke days. Automatic smoke response is something we design only for homes with compatible integrated controls, and we discuss it during the walkthrough. Fine filtration in the MERV 15 to 16 range, activated carbon and UV are built into the system, with filter cabinets sized for quiet airflow.

In a tightly built new home, this steady supply of filtered air is also what keeps rooms fresh day to day, especially when the coastal marine layer keeps windows closed.

Quiet, Concealed and Brand-Independent

Air is delivered through slim linear diffusers and concealed returns, with zoning so primary suites, living areas and guest rooms hold their own temperature. We design and install across all major brands, including Daikin, Mitsubishi, Lennox, Trane and Carrier, choosing ducted variable-speed systems, heat pumps or a variable refrigerant system according to the home.

From the Huntington and the Riviera to Castellammare and Palisades Highlands, we plan each home for its exposure: marine moisture near the coast, warmer canyon afternoons inland. Every system is commissioned and documented.

Questions

HVAC Design & Installation Questions in Pacific Palisades

When should we bring you into a rebuild?

During schematic design, if possible. Early coordination lets duct routes, equipment rooms and fresh-air intakes be planned with the architecture.

Can the fresh-air intake be closed when outdoor air is poor, such as during wildfire smoke?

Yes. The intake can be shut off or set to recirculate, and the system continues filtering indoor air until conditions improve. Automatic smoke response is something we design only for homes with compatible integrated controls, and we discuss it during the walkthrough.

Do you work with our architect and builder?

Yes. We provide load calculations, equipment selections and duct layouts for the drawings and coordinate on site through construction.

Which brands do you recommend?

We design across all major brands and choose equipment based on the home's needs, sound requirements and serviceability rather than a single manufacturer.
